001 - Need For Introduction

We’ve been around now for a good 10 or so months and I realized I never really addressed who we are or what we are trying to do with this space. This is going to be in two parts as there’s quite a bit to go through. Let’s start with a little background story of who I am and how Krawlerz came about...

Hi, this is me. A bit of a dork but that's life.

For years I’ve always wanted my own sort of brand (if you can call it that) to share my creativity whether it be my photography, art or even just my love for anything automotive. The only problem was, I had no idea where to start or if it was even possible.

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve had a passion for art in all forms. Through out high school I was lucky enough to be able to express myself through drawing, snapping photos and playing music in a band every single day but there was no real reason as to “why” I was doing it. I’m 21 years old now, about to finish my uni degree and I still haven’t figured this out yet.

I was always told that my art was “just a hobbie” and I couldn’t really do anything with it in the “real world”. Maybe they were right? To some, this might all be kind of pointless but I feel that having the opportunity to share the crazy things that go on in my mind and then seeing the reactions from the people around me is enough of a reason to do something.

As a ‘clothing brand’ we haven’t been around for very long, but we are blessed enough to live in a generation where social media platforms exist and are powerful enough to spread our ideas to like minded individuals all over the world. I want to come back to this point a little bit later.

This right here is my mate Daz, Co-Founder of Krawlerz. I first met him in 2005 when we both went to the same school. Growing up we both enjoyed cars and would spend endless hours playing games like the one that inspired the title of this blog post. Some of you will get it, others won’t.

Fast forward about 10 years, we were finally old enough to drive the cars we’d only been able to dream of owning from the games and movies. It wasn’t long before we started to make our way down to a bunch of car meets where we were exposed to this insane and tight community of people who all shared the same passion for automotive culture.

This was only the beginning. Some how we ended up in Sydney for World Time Attack. If you read this far, you are the real mvp. I’ll continue the rest of the story later.
